About

You have always been pretty healthy — at least according to what the government says. You eat your all your daily fruits and veggies — more than the average American. You exercise — more than your neighbors do. Sure, there’s some stress in your life, but it’s bearable.

Yet recently your body did something that said “Hey! There’s something wrong here.” Weight gain. Aches and pains. Tummy troubles. High blood pressure. A funny flutter in your chest.

Or maybe you keep forgetting your keys. A lot more than you used to. Stress bothers you more. You start seeing more anxiety, more to be depressed about, and life is just not as carefree as it used to be.

You don’t like drugs. You look for help from natural medicine information. But the experts don’t agree. You see:

  • More meat, less meat, no meat
  • High fat, low fat
  • High carbs, low carbs
  • More greens, less greens.
  • Herbs and supplements that vary with every author

The more you read, the more confusing it gets. Some things help. Other things make you worse. No program works perfectly.

How can you figure out what’s best for you?

Years ago, I was wondering the same thing. At first my troubles were somewhat minor, then got increasingly hard to ignore — especially the headaches. But all of a sudden my heart gave me a wakeup call. With a problem that promised me a pacemaker in my 40s if I didn’t do something about it.

As a veterinarian, I was familiar with the good as well as the bad sides of drugs. Natural healing methods had been part of my practice for years. As a veterinarian, I have a big advantage over other health practitioners: I always know what works for my patients. They  don’t respond to the “placebo effect” – basically, where willpower, not the herb or supplement, is what made you better. I also know what could cause problems – cats are the first to show bad side effects because of the way their sensitive livers work.

So when my own heart challenged me, I used what I had learned to combine the things that worked best for me. I avoided the things – natural ones as well as drugs – most likely to have unwanted side effects. All based on research, on what my patients told me,  and on the way my body reacted.

I reversed my heart problem. And got started on a program that helped me get healthier as I got older.

I kept running into other people interested in doing the same thing. People like you.

So I created this site to help you learn how to find your own path back to better health. To find research-backed natural methods that can really work for you. To help avoid anything that could have unexpected consequences. To figure out which are best for your own body. To find creative ways to put them all together so they don’t interfere with each other.
